The Germination Station Heat Mat does NOT require a temperature controller. But when exact temperature control is needed for delicate plants, such as orchids, add the optional Heat Mat Thermostat.

The waterproof heat mat is UL listed and uses 17 watts. It plugs into any standard 120 volt electrical outlet.
