Can-Fans and Can-Filters are tried and true products that set the standard in the marketplace. You can feel confident that you are getting the best quality of in-line exhaust fan and filter for your growroom, greenhouse, or living area. Can-Fans are engineered to pair with the matching Can-Filters to give true CFM. Our Can-Fan / Can-Filter packages INCLUDE the in-line exhaust fan, appropriate carbon filled filter, pre-filter, foam gasket and flange.
Can-Fans are constructed with a heavy-duty powder coated steel housing and include a grounded power cord (connection required). Can-Filters are high quality, no maintenance, carbon air filter for the ultimate in air purification, particulate removal and extreme odor control, up to 99.5%.
Can-Filters can handle the tough odors of organic fertilizers used in greenhouses or indoor gardening, or for general use, they are ideal for tackling the problem of allergies due to pollen. Can-Filters uses a custom specified Virgin Activated Coal Based Carbon (CKV4) to insure longest possible performance. They offer consistent performance, long life (12 to 18 months), and are completely maintenance free.
Effective treatment requires the exchange of air in the growing or living area in a period of 5 minutes. Use the total cubic feet to be filtered and divide this number by 5 to determine the proper filter size needed - the proper fan size is included.
Taking into consideration that when a filter is added to a fan, the CFM is going to drop because of the resistance factor. Here are the CFM ratings for the Can-Fan / Can-Filter combos: CAN 2600 Combo - 56 CFM CAN 9000 Combo - 95 CFM CAN 33 Combo - 178 CFM CAN 50 Combo - 312 CFM CAN 66 Combo - 365 CFM CAN 75 Combo - 550 CFM CAN 100 Combo - 600 CFM CAN 150 Combo - 888 CFM
Rated for continuous operation, Can Fans can be utilized in either commercial or residential applications. Mounting bracket is included. They are compact, quiet and offer easy installation. Can Fans are certified to CSA and UL standards and a complete 5 year manufacturer's warranty.

CAN Combo Setup Suggestions:
Here's a simple set of
instructions to set up your CAN Combo. There are may different ways to hook this
up, so the manufacturer chooses not to include specific instructions.
1) First, stick the foam tape to the bottom of the aluminum flange. You'll
have to make the tape curve to the circular contour of the flat bottom part of
the flange. It doesn't have to look good, but needs to make a seal between the
flange and filter.
2) Then use the included self tapping screws and an electric screwdriver or
drill to attach the flange to the top of the filter.
3) Then the fan can either be attached directly to the flange, or attached with
some ducting connecting them. We recommend using a short length of ducting
between the fan and filter (just enough to keep them separated from each other,
or as much as necessary for your application) to keep vibration from causing the
carbon in the filter to settle.
You can either blow into the filter, or draw through it, it'll work either way,
but it's best to draw through the filter, using the included pre-filter to
remove dust before it gets to the carbon inside (dust pockets forming in the
carbon over time will limit the filter life- which is also a good reason to
clean or replace your pre-filter regularly). You can use bungee
cords to hang the fan from the ceiling or rafters to absorb vibration from the
fan. This will lessen any potential fan noise in your home. You can
exhaust the filtered air either back into the same room (which is referred top
as "polishing" the air), or into another area utilizing the fan/filter combo as
a pre-exhaust air cleaner. The length of ducting you use inline or on the
exhaust end will cut down on your air flow if you use too long of a length.
Long stretches of ducting may create a need for an in-line booster fan
especially on the CAN 2600 or 9000 combo's.
