DE Insect Dust is made of the pulverized shells of microscopic fresh and saltwater algae called diatoms. This sharp-edged dust penetrates hard and soft shell insects, ultimately resulting in their complete dehydration and death.

DE is also beneficial to the soil as it's loaded with trace minerals. DE will not hurt beneficial soil microorganisms.
