The Horti-Control LF-6 Flip Flop controls six ballasts tied into twelve reflectors and bulbs. It works well with both magnetic core and digital ballasts. 

How does it work? The first set of reflectors are turned on for the initial 12-hour period. At the end of those 12 hours the first set is turned off and the ballast connections are flipped to turn on the second set of reflectors over a separate garden area. You can set it to run lights in several different staggered configurations to match your gardening needs.

"Flipping" extends the life of your ballasts because it eliminates the on-off sequence which causes wear and tear on the equipment. AND you save money because you'll be using less ballasts!

The Horti-control LF series is the original plug and play flip-flop HID light controller that allows you to double your growing area without increasing electrical power requirements or investing in additional HID ballasts.

NOTE: The Horti-Control LF-6 Flip Flop comes with Sunlight Supply style plugs and receptacles. If using Hydrofarm style plugs, you will need to use pigtail adapters.

Flipboxes work great with all magnetic ballasts, but if you're going to use an electronic ballast with any Flipbox, we recommend using the Quantum digital ballast. Some built-in safety features in other common brands of electronic ballasts may cause issues when used with a Flipbox.
