Velcro® Plant Ties are a great solution to training vines or supporting taller plants. Not only are they strong, they're adjustable.
Using Velcro Plant Ties is a snap. They're 1/2-inch wide and come on a 45 foot roll so you can simply cut a length about 2" longer than you need and overlap one end over the other. As your plants mature simply "un-velcro" the tie and loosen it as needed.
It's like both sides of regular Velcro fasteners melded into one piece of tough fabric - one side is soft, the other side locks onto the soft side. The soft side faces the plant stem so there's no injury.
They're UV resistant so they'll last indefinately and can be re-used. Much easier to use than most other alternatives.
