The Quantum Series digital ballast lets you adjust power settings with the twist of a knob! You can run it on 120V or 240V simply by changing power cords, both of which are included. As with all digital ballasts you can burn both HPS and MH bulbs. 

The Quantum Series is the only digital ballast available with a dimming switch. It enables you to run your ballast at the strength you need, letting you control the power usage (a.k.a. electric bill costs). We tested it in our greenhouse, following the manufacturer's instructions, and the brightness of our HID bulb reacted accordingly without any damage to the bulb!

This amazing feature also makes it easier to harden off young plants just being introduced to HID lighting by setting your ballast to a lower power output. As your garden grows and demands more light, simply increase the power as needed. Eliminates the need for lowering you HID light while cutting down seasonal heat!

The 400 watt ballast can be lowered to 75% power.
The 600 and 1000 watt sizes let you choose between 100% power, 75% power and 50% power with the twist of a knob!

Quantum Horticulture designed this ballast with a resin cased circuit board, placed in conjunction with a sealed bearing fan. The end result being a ballast that runs 15% cooler than any other digital ballast on the market. As with all electronics, the cooler they run, the longer they last.

The Quantum Series digital ballast has gone through rigorous testing in lab facilities that replicate the most extreme atmospheric conditions. It can withstand the high heat and humidity that any garden can throw at it.
