A mineral-based soil amendment, Espoma Greensand is rich in the conditioning element glauconite, a marine material composed primarily of iron-potassium silicate. 

It contains 6% total potash (0.1% available immediately) which helps improve hardiness and overall good health in plants. This potash solubilizes very slowly and therefore is available to plants at relatively small amounts over a long period of time.

Espoma Greensand is an organic source of potassium and other trace minerals. It also contains up to 1.2% of phosphate, another essential nutrient, as well as most of the trace minerals normally associated with deposits of marine origin.

Espoma Greensand is an excellent soil conditioner due to its unique combination of physical and chemical properties which give the gardener the benefits attributed to both sand and clay materials. It loosens clay soils and binds sany soils.
